Making a real local automotive business easier to find, verify and contact.

MJ Automotive & Smash Repairs is a working repair shop on Military Road in Guildford. The work here is local visibility and the trust layer around it. It is ongoing, and this page is shorter than our other case studies for one reason: we do not yet have the before-and-after data that would justify a longer one.

Where this stands

What we can show you, and what we cannot.

Someone whose car needs repairing does not run a considered search. They pick up a phone, search for a repairer nearby, and choose from what appears — usually inside a few minutes. Getting picked in that moment depends on being present in local search, having a profile that answers the obvious questions, and looking like a business other people have already trusted.

That is the work: website, Google Business Profile management, local visibility and how the reputation that already exists gets presented. What we do not have for MJ is a clean analytics history from before the work started.

So there is no growth chart on this page. No percentage lift, no call volume, no ranking claim, no before-and-after line. We could draw one that looked convincing. It would not be evidence, and a chart you cannot check is worth less than an honest gap.

What follows is the current public profile, which proves the business is real and operating and shows the trust layer it has today. When Search Console and Google Business Profile performance history are available, they will be added here.

What this proves

A real, operating repair and maintenance business at a verifiable address, with hours, a phone number, photos and a directions link — and a reputation strong enough that 95 people have rated it 4.9 out of 5.

What it does not prove

That Rankees generated those 95 reviews. We did not. They were earned over years of repairing cars for people in Guildford, most of them before this engagement. What we work on is whether that reputation is visible and legible at the moment someone is choosing a repairer.

The system

Five steps between a search and a phone call.

Local acquisition is not one thing. It is a short chain, and it breaks at whichever link is weakest. Select any step to see what it has to do.

Local search → call or visit

Each step has one job. If any of them fails, the customer goes to the next repairer on the list and you never learn that they were there.

What happens next

Built so the measurement can catch up.

This project is deliberately presented as unfinished, because it is. The work is real and ongoing; the measurement layer around it is still thin. Three things would change that:

  • Google Business Profile performance data over a meaningful period — searches, views, calls and direction requests.
  • Search Console history, so organic visibility can be shown rather than asserted.
  • Call tracking, so the last and most important step stops being invisible.

As those arrive, they will be added to this page as dated evidence with the same labels used everywhere else on this site. Until then, what is here is what we can actually prove.

How to read the labels on this page
Current public snapshot

A publicly visible profile as it stands today. It proves the present state, not who produced it or how it changed.

Ongoing project

Work is continuing and the measurement layer is still being built out.

Have a similar acquisition bottleneck?

If people in your area are searching for what you do and picking somebody else, the fix is usually visibility and trust rather than more advertising. We will tell you which one it is.
